My name is Raveen Maharaj. I'm South African working for a company within the Financial Services industry and interested in a vareity of topics ranging from sports to new technological issues and anything in between.
This site is mainly a collection of sites that I have browsed personally looking up information, downloads or for no other reason except boredom. These range from serious issues to like news, sports, medical advice, finance, technology, entertainment, fashion & interior design. The theme is, however, predominantly South Arican.
The site also offers current news as well as sports headlines. You also have an opportunity to voice your opinions on anything you feel like and if pertinent feel free to view my Resume. Your comments are also welcome, so feel free to email me!
This site was developed without any use of Web developer packages and was written completely with the aid of HTML. The entire exercise was sparked due to a search for any sites already registered with my name and yes, the search yielded results. I was none too pleased with this and was curious as to how easy was it to get my own site as well.
Initially, I investigated the possibility of obtaining a free site and there are numerous sites that make this possible. Thereafter, decide on the content and I was also interested in having a Home Page that will permit me to have all of my favourite/interesting sites together.

Was really intrigued as to how easy it was and helped along through a vareity of sites that  permitted me to copy lines of code as well. It took a great deal of time as the site was live, though I spent a great amount of time looking for the right graphics and fonts or backgrounds.
With regard to the country, South Africa is an extremely beautiful country coupled with cultural diversifity offers a great deal, despite the negative news of daily life. Any country experiences similar unpleasantries, however I feel that in most instances others aren't exposed to it. Perhaps the overseas media contingent are too critical about the problems experienced in Africa.
Take time out to visit, as there is plenty to see ranging from coastal regions, great surf and dive destinations, to the Drakensberg interior as well as many Game Reserves, offering the Big Five, in the eastern part of the country. There are endless resources to satisfy and combined with friendly people, how can you go wrong!
